Plum Creek Watershed is Kentucky's oldest watershed. It is a 24,000 acre project in north-central Kentucky in Shelby and Spencer Counties. In Spencer County, the Spencer County Conservation District assists the Plum Creek Watershed Conservancy District with inspections and maintenance of the structures.

In Spencer County there is Flood Retarding Structure #12 known as Heady, FRS #15 known as Crenshaw, FRS #16 known as Herndon, FRS #17 known as Schultz, and FRS #18 known as Featherbed.  Work is also done to keep Plum Creek clean and up to State Regulations.
