Soil Samples
Funding is provided for the cost of soil samples for all individuals in Spencer County. Samples are to be delivered to the extension office and they will send them to the University of Kentucky for analysis. In 2003 we provided the cost of 271 soil samples which has grown to 627 in 2008. You may contact the Spencer County Extension Office at (502)477-2217.

Equipment Rental
Any Spencer County landowner can rent our equipment.
No-till drills (two 7’ and one 10’ drill) and a lime spreader: Contact Wayne’s Farm Machinery at (502)477-2561, 4804 Taylorsville Road, to make arrangements for available rental.
Ryan Overseeder: Contact Paul Jeffiers at “The Berry Farm”, (502)477-2334, 1168 Wilsonville Road, to make arrangements for available rental.

Agriculture Water Quality Plan Self Certification
A plan must be in effect to participate in local cost share programs. Click Here for certification form and questionnaire. The signed form must be submitted to the Spencer County Conservation District to conform to state regulations.
